Mayor Richard Sweeney welcomed volunteer firemen as the State Firemen's Association and Fire Chiefs' Club held talks on fire hazard policy. BOH Shipley of Ellicott City presided in the afternoon with Chief Smith leading the program. Speakers included Chief Howard Travers of Baltimore and George T. Ivins of Baltimore City's Board of Fire Commissioners. A floor show followed at the Airport Inn dipping unit.

Two Men Injured In Auto Accident
Two men were injured in a collision at Freemont and Mitchell streets last night. Albert Wolfensberger of 500 block West Franklin suffered facial cuts knee injury and brush burns and was held at Washington County Hospital. Ralph Mowen of Greencastle 25 sustained a head injury treated and released. Holden and Wolfe charged Mowen with reckless driving and he posted collateral for a hearing. Both cars were badly damaged per officers.
