The Eitner Bible Class of the First Christian Church held a Hard Times party at Gray Lodge Tuesday night hosted by BE Saum. Sixty five attended and Mrs. Benjamin Lewis was chosen queen of hard times.
The Board of County Commissioners proposed about seven miles of new roads to the State Roads Commission in Baltimore. Projects include Lestersburg to Ringgold three miles Williamsport to Laplans two miles Big Pool to Fort Frederick one mile and Cearfoss turnpike expansion. Officials expect immediate survey and start of work with an estimated $164000 county allotment and $15000 unspent from last year. A traffic device at Huretts Crossroads was urged as a priority safety measure.
Doc Wade and Ted Hill of the Harry Miller Producing Company prepare the Alsatia Frolic with final touches. Dress rehearsal is Sunday afternoon at the Maryland Theatre, which will open tomorrow morning at 1 o clock for the ticket exchange for the show.
Large turnout expected as the line of exchangers grows and crowd pressure builds. Friday at noon Squire Burich will fly over in a Challenger plane weather permitting to distribute Frolic posters. Special posters will entitle finders to free seats at the Frolic.

Visitors and Potomac Playmakers members attend a meeting of the Pidyanakers at the Women's Club auditorium to hear the prize announcement for best play written by a Washington County resident. Miss DeVany of Wilson College will discuss Better Speech, with two one act plays staged.
