Flying in a big Douglas mail plane Lindbergh landed at Lambert Field at 9 A M completing a round trip between St Louis and Chicago to promote postal air service. He left Chicago early morning after a quiet overnight and reached Peoria before returning north to St Louis with mail aboard.

Emma Locke of Milton Pa files suit for divorce in Northumberland County Pa Sunbury court. She alleges desertion in 1923 and that she and her husband wed in Hagerstown in 1914. Her daughter Pearl, a silk weaver, advertises for a husband with $10,000 to escape drudgery and penny counting.
Howard James of Pierce West Virginia died of exposure after his auto broke down in a blinding Cumberland snowstorm. He crawled about three miles from the car toward Par sons West Virginia before succumbing to the cold during a killing night journey home.
Albany dispatch describes a proposed event where a young woman may announce the next presidential vote count in Houston. The scene centers on the line "Now casts 46 votes for Smith" with Mrs. Emily Smith Warner listed as an alternate delegate.
Catherine Elizabeth Tierney, 22, daughter of Mr and Mrs George H Tierney of Middletown Connecticut, who ran away from Marymount College in February, was found employed as a housemaid in Long Island. Relatives and police secured the information, noting her height of five feet eight inches and that she had nearly completed freshman year except chemistry. The job, described as governess to two children, lasted about three weeks in Harry A Lorgent’s home at Kew Gardens.
Camden N J Feb 21 It will pay Mrs L C Dawson 42 and Mrs Mabel A McNutt 40 five thousand dollars more each at age 70 from the will of their father John Crawford The provision sets the pair to receive 5000 if they live to 70 ensuring a future payout of 10000 total for each by that age.
A fire at William Stighman’s farm near Smithsburg destroyed a brooder house housing 150 to 200 newly hatched chickens and endangered the adjacent Stighman home. Neighbors formed a bucket brigade to prevent the roof from catching fire. The blaze started from an overheated oil stove used to warm the chicks. The two structures were consumed. An explosion in a clothing store basement in Freeport Illinois sparked a fire that leveled four large business buildings in the city center. The blaze, causing an estimated loss of 500000 dollars, drew Rockford firefighters to assist as flames approached the Brewster Hotel landmark dating to 1853.
