Move Made To Recover Taxes From Pitts
Washington reports that the government filed liens in courts to recover about 2 million dollars in unpaid income taxes from G Bryan Pitts, convict in an embezzlement conspiracy tied to F H Smith Company. Liens cover Pitts and his wife’s property across Maryland Wisconsin New York Delaware Florida and the District of Columbia. Florida lists the half million dollar winter home Al Lado Del Mar at Palm Beach. Authorities seek to seize Mrs Pitts assets and locate several million in foreign bonds Pitts allegedly bought to flee the country.

Injured Worker Improves After 30 Foot Fall
C Dudley Wolford of Greenmount Avenue was severely hurt in a 30 foot fall while working on a new building in Security last Friday. He is reported to be at Washington County Hospital in a plaster cast with five broken ribs and other injuries. He is an employee of the J B Ferguson Company.

Stolen Car Found Wrecked near Lappans Cross Roads
The automobile of R. H. Gross nickle of South Cannon avenue was found wrecked at Lappans Cross Roads last night about 8 o'clock, a half hour after he reported it stolen to Police Headquarters. The driver appeared uninjured. The car was stolen from South Potomac street near St. John's Lutheran church. Ralph Remsburg of near Funkstown reported his car stolen from South Potomac street last night about 9 o'clock. Martinsburg authorities alerted local officers to watch for a car stolen from that city yesterday evening. Divorces filed include Annie E Grove v Roy Cletus Grove and George D Nelson v Julia A Nelson.
