DeMara Pleads Guilty To False Pretense In Maine Teaching Job
Ferdinand Waldo DeMara Jr 35 a Lawrence Mass native pleaded guilty in Augusta Maine to a charge of cheating by false pretenses in obtaining a Maine teaching certificate and land job. State police said DeMara using aliases taught in New York and claimed Wagner College attendance to obtain credentials. He admitted being Dr Joseph Cyr a Canadian navy surgeon with limited medical training and described North Haven island escape plans. He was held for Superior Court after the plea.
