Warner Brothers Theatres will sponsor a Cinderella contest at the Maryland Theatre linked to the showing of Cinderella Jones. Eligible contestants must be at least 18 years old and unmarried. A glass slipper will determine the winner, with the slippers already arrived.
A committee of ten judges will select and entertain Cinderella for a day. She will receive a complete outfit and many gifts donated by local merchants. She will dine at principal hotels and be honored at an evening ceremony at the Maryland.

Rev Paul Minnich Robinson of the Church of the Brethren has a sermon titled I Travel a Glory included in Harper Brothers upcoming Best Sermons of 1945. The volume features two ministry pieces from all faiths and will publish this month in New York.
Mrs. Minnie Myers Brubaker, 70, died in Altoona Pennsylvania from smoke suffocation after an apartment fire. She had lived in Altoona 22 years and was a Methodist Church member. Surviving daughters include Mrs. Ernest Yeakle. funeral and interment planned for Knobsville.
Officers who served in 1945 were reelected at a board meeting. Mrs. Frank W. Mish Jr. was named president. Reelected first vice-president Dr. W. H. Shealy, second vice-president J. Forney Young, secretary Donald G. Kaylor, and treasurer Claude Futterfield. The group had met after a recent membership meeting to approve the slate.
Aaron Lodge No 33 of Williamsport will confer the initiator rite on a large class tonight in connection with its regular business session. The Williamsport decree team, led by Decree Master C. E. Mills, is noted as the best in the area and rehearsals have been held. Members of the Williamsport area and surrounding territory are invited to witness the ceremony.
