Robbers Hold Up Salesman Near Pinesburg
A traveling salesman, Wilhide of Boonsboro, was robbed at gunpoint by two men near Rhodes Woods as they forced him to surrender $10 in cash and auto accessories worth about $100. One attacker wore fine clothes. the other was poorly dressed. Maryland tags were on the gang’s old car. Police alerted Hancock, Chambersburg, Greencastle, and area garages to watch for the vehicle and two men. The thieves looted spare parts, patches, and other auto appliance items before fleeing toward Clearspries.
