Former detective Ellis Parker dies in federal prison
Ellis Parker aged 68, longtime Burlington County detective and promoter of a major Lindbergh kidnapping conspiracy case, died Sunday at the Federal Penitentiary in Lewisburg Pa where he was serving a 14 year term for conspiring to kidnap Paul Wendel. The former officer suffered from an organic cerebral condition and had been hospitalized. He and his son Ellis Parker Jr were convicted in 1937. he had built a career as a rural sleuth starting in the 1890s after an incident during a dance led to his interest in crime detection.

Miss Sale Lee Powell was absent president with Mrs McGarry Snyder in charge. Anna Morgan Getzendanner spoke and displayed Confederate relics once from Col W A Morgan, now at Falling Springs home of Mr and Mrs Philip Steptoe.

Dorris Bowden a 35 year old film actress and Nunnally Johnson a 42 year old writer and associate producer were married Sunday at the home of Charles MacArthur and Helen Hayes in Nyack. Bowden stars as Rosasharn in Grapes of Wrath and Johnson adapted John Steinbeck's novel. This is Johnson third marriage.

Robbery Probe At Fisher Store on Pennsylvania Ave

Man Kills Three Then Takes Life in Ontario
Presion Ontario February 6 Canadian Press Alvin Schlegel a middle aged former president of an Ontario organization shot his wife daughter and son before killing himself. He allegedly killed his 12 year old son upstairs then shot his wife at the front door as she returned from church. Bruce McCullough who was with his wife rushed to police headquarters to summon officers who found Schlegel dead in the front hallway.

Stone Crusher Theft Suspect Apprehended in Hancock Case
Elden Coonrod, 28, Hancock, jailed in Washington County on theft charges after a stone crusher stolen from American Fruit Growery near Hancock last December was found broken into pieces at a Hancock junk shop. About a ton of crusher scrap was moved by car and sold for around five dollars.
