Probe into Olive Swope's death ends with verdict
After Olive May Swope 28 of near Greencastle died at Waynesboro hospital from septic poisoning an inquest found death resulted from an illegal operation. A signed statement alleged the illegal procedure occurred in Harrisburg on January Sth. Her father George B. Swope resided near Greencastle and she worked in Waynesboro. Hog cholera cases were reported by the Bureau of Animal Industry at premises in Mauganeville Reid and by Martin E. Horst and A F Lahman.

Prisoners Escape From Morgan County Jail in Berkeley Springs
Three prisoners Robert Wills Charles Wills and Harry Swanger held on a chicken theft charge escaped from the Morgan County Jail at Berkeley Springs West Virginia. They climbed through a window after sawing through iron bars and a screen in Friday night darkness. Authorities believe the escape happened during a period of overcast wind and blackout conditions. The men are at large and remained at large yesterday.
