Farm Aid Bill Nears Passage in Senate
Washington February 2 The Lenroot-Anderson farm credits bill is virtually assured passage after a Senate poll. It would authorize up to 1.2 billion dollars for rural credits with 12 land banks each allowed a 2,500,000 government funded capital and possible additional 5,000,000 capital per bank subject to Presidential and Federal Farm Loan Board approval. A proposed 25,000,000 revolving fund to aid foreign buyers may be dropped.

Man Convicted of Operating a Still Sentenced
Joseph Artz, of the Sharpsburg pike, was convicted of manufacturing liquor and sentenced to 10 days in Washington county jail by Judge John C. Rose in Baltimore federal court. Artz was among five men arrested in recent Prohibition raids and found with a still and whisky. He began serving the term yesterday.

Germans Continue Wrecking Trains Reported

Monoxide Gas Fatal to Two in Wilmington Garage
In Wilmington on February 3 a carbon monoxide incident killed Silvio Angeletti 24 and Elsie Dobbins 21 from Concordville Pa as gas from a running car engine filled a Union Garage. Four horses also died. The bodies were found by inside workers after locking from the inside prevented entry. Angeletti, a chauffeur for Thomas McCall operating a local bus route, likely collapsed while trying to escape after midnight.

Tipple At An Open Mine Is Destroyed
Fire destroyed the Sullivan Brothers mine tipple and five hundred foot Apple and other small buildings in the Georges Creek district at Carlos yesterday.
