Precautions against spreading grippe lead Mrs. Robert Carder to alter Pine Tree Troop's schedule. The meeting was moved to a breakfast hike at Fountain Head woods with new camp kitchens, and the Brownies Christmas party for 25 young girls aged 2 to 6 is postponed to next Saturday due to illness concerns.
Illness affects nine families on the planned visit list causing no meetings this week. Next meeting for Black-eyed Susan Troop on Wednesday January 2 at 7 30 p m and Pine Tree Troop at 4 15 p m next Friday.
A coroner's jury in Chambersburg held Herbert Hoechstetter responsible for the death of 18 year old Rheumma Nesbit after a collision near McConnellsburg involving the auto truck she rode in with her father and Hoechstetter's machine. The jury said Hoechstetter violated a traffic law and referred the case to the Grand Jury. Hoechstetter resides in Pittsburgh.

The Bible School presented a Christmas program with songs, lessons, and a pageant led by D K Poole and a long cast including Thelma Marshall Lloyd Marshall Ira Cline Nellie Long Fay Artz Catherine Dick Nellie Shipley and many others.
Miss Athelia Downey and her brother Ira were together for several days. Mrs. Charles' Stick and Mrs. Bowman visited Mrs. Emory Flock on Monday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Delauter of Frederick, with Mr. and Mrs. Alvey Delauter and Mae Delauter, and Clinton Brummer were mentioned in the social notes.
Frank Davis of Middletown assisted his mother Mrs. Louisa Delauter with butchering operations, helping in the family task.
