Twenty Thousand Dollar Damage Suit On Trial
The $20,000 damage suit of Harold D. Davis of Midland, Mississippi, against Oswald W. Martin Willard Bohrer Foster J. Rohrbaugh and Frank Zerfoss administrator of the estate of his daughter Bernice Zerfoss is being tried before a jury in circuit court. Davis, a passenger in the car driven by Lieut. Zerfoss, was severely injured the night of November 5, 1945, in a four car accident on the west slope of Fairview mountain, and spent about six months in a hospital recovering. Lieut. Zerfoss was killed instantly in the crash. The case involves multiple defendants none of whom knew the others prior to the accident, with each defendant represented by separate counsel. The defense seeks verdicts in favor of each individually.
