New York Dec 23 After a 12 year marriage Thyra Sawiter Wilmstow took a year off from her husband claiming married people deserve a furlough. A divorce followed. She has since married Nelson W Hyde an engineer.
Mrs Elizabeth Cromwell widow of Admiral J Cromwall, long time Monterey summer resident, died at home in Washington of pneumonia. Survived by five daughters, all wives of naval officers. Funeral held today.
Police investigate a break in at Willa McLaugh’s jewelry shop where thieves shattered a glass window with a brick and escaped with watches and jewelry. A car was used in the getaway, with investigators seeking a company seen driving away.
