State Senator Robert B. Kimble of Allegany county suffered a heart attack while at work yesterday and is now resting comfortably in Cumberland hospital. Kimble, a native of Willemsport, is safety director of the Baltimore and Ohio railroad and was stricken at Keyser, West Virginia, first admitted to Keyser hospital.

Washington Pec 20 Py-Rep. Howard W. Smith outlined a peacetime strike control plan to ban closed shops and require compulsory arbitration. He intends to introduce the bill when Congress convenes, seeking to revise the Wagner Act and extend existing wartime labor powers with six main provisions including outlawing industry wide bargaining, forcing arbitration, and penalizing violence and mass picketing while restoring free speech rights for employers.
Bilbo faces narcotics permit questions as Edward P. Terry, former secretary, is cited in testimony. Bilbo denies any link between funds and the permit or church parsonage accounts while stating donations, possibly 1000 to 1500 dollars, went to Juniper Grove Baptist Church parsonage.

R S Dunlop, a Scotsman on a New York to California trip, faced two parking tickets in Oklahoma City. He claimed unfamiliarity with American traffic rules drove him to park on the wrong side.
