Blaze Destroys Boonsboro Blacksmith Shop
A fire yesterday morning in Boonsboro destroyed the blacksmith shop and a rear storage shed at the Boonsboro Garage run by Evan Smith. About 1200 dollars in damage occurred, including 800 dollars for stored used automobiles. The blaze started around 11 15 and, though the Boonsboro fire department saved nearby buildings, the front shop was consumed. John Ritter operated the blacksmith shop, known for shoing horses and repairing farm machinery. Insurance covered the building but not the automobiles.
