19 Final Death Toll Of Wreck
The death toll in the Pennsylvania railroad three train collision rose to 19 in Mansfield Ohio. The 19th victim was Edwin Gene Krautblatt a 19 year old soldier from Chicago. About 50 were injured many soldiers with eight transported by litter to Fort Hayes Hospital Columbus. A coach of the Golden Triangle carried 62 soldiers from Fort Dix en route to Camp Stoneman with seven days home delay.Rescue crews continued search twelve hours after the crash near the wreck site as investigators described the sequence of events near 2:45 a m yesterday 12 miles southeast of Mansfield.

Man Who Embezzled Millions Is Released From Prison
Walter E. Wolf, convicted in 1931 of embezzling $3,691,000 from the Chicago bank where he worked as a $75 weekly clerk, was paroled after 15 years and one month at Stateville. He joined his wife Esther, daughter, and his 88 year old mother in Oak Park. He said the money was used as collateral for marginal grain and stock trading. some funds were recovered, others unaccounted for.

Earl Grove Aboard Missouri When Ship Hit
Earl D. Grove fireman second class son of Mrs Nellie Grove of 418 Freemont street served aboard the 45000 ton battleship Missouri on a training cruise to Argentina Newfoundland when struck by a practice shell, set afire, killing one crewman. The accident occurred December 4 as Missouri was accompanied by the light cruiser Little Rock and destroyer Fectle. Mrs Grove said she visited her son in August when his ship docked at Boston and stood on the hit site. Grove wrote to his mother about icebergs and rough seas on the voyage to Newfoundland.
