Feeding School Plans Are Ready for County Farmers
A two-day feeding and feed production school will be held in the County Agent’s Office on December 20 and 21 to provide dairy and livestock farmers with the latest feeding practices and cost reduction methods. Sessions cover efficient feeding for dairy cows and hogs, use of home grown grains, and production of pasture hay and silage, with emphasis on soil fertility and legume fertilization. Walnut Lane Reopens After Mitigated Sharp Curve

Hugh Lowery of Fairplay was elected president of the Washington County 4H Baby Beef Club at a meeting in the county agent's office. William Doub and William Cunningham were named vice president and secretary treasurer. The 1940 program includes educational meetings tours and demonstrations with meetings every other month. Next meeting is in February in Hagerstown. Clues Followed in Mystery Shooting
Detectives followed two main clues in the Pittsburgh case of the death of Norval Harrison and his Scoutmaster Daniel Hackett. French Cavalry Doing Its Share on Western Front
