KIWANIANS HEAR TALK ON SAFETY
John R. Tenney safety supervisor for Western Maryland Railway Co spoke at the Kiwani Club luncheon on safety. He warned highway fatalities may rise in 1937 and urged clubs to back safety efforts while noting higher auto deaths in Maryland than many states. He called for stricter traffic enforcement and shared factors from proximity to Baltimore and other cities.

Mother seeks jail option to save son from electric chair

Dashover Is Given Death In Al Brady Case
Federal Court jury sentences James Dalhover to death for the murder of State Police officer Paul Minneman. Dalhover, last survivor of the Al Brady gang, was to be executed by electric chair after a two hour and seventeen minute deliberation. The verdict makes him the third gang member to die. Shaffer and Brady were killed by federal agents in Bangor, Maine. Minneman was killed during the Goocland bank hold up in May.
