Fairchild C-82 Packet produced with North American help

North American Aviation of Inglewood California will assist in mass producing the Fairchild C 82 cargo plane in partnership with Fairchild. The project aims to supply the Army with a rapid transport capable of carrying tanks artillery and troops across 3500 miles. The C 82 features a square rear opening, twin tail booms, and a level cargo floor designed for efficient loading and unloading.

Hagerstown Troops Share Christmas Greetings from England

In England 8th Air Force bomber station, Garnner D. Hagwood, son of Mrs Ruth Hagewood of 144 East Washington, has been promoted to master sergeant. He serves as a crew chief of a B 17 in the 457th Bombardment Group, part of the Sth Air Force, after long Atlantic and Pacific service. A Hagerstown High graduate, he joined the Army Air Corps July 12, 1937.
