City Hall to be replaced by new $318,739 building in Hagerstown
Demolition of the 116 year old shell at Potomac and Franklin begins within days. The new four story municipal building, funded in part by a $186,750 Public Works Administration grant, is to be completed in about 12 months. The cornerstone and Masonic relics will be preserved and relocated to the tower museum.
