State Comptroller Millard J. Tawes reported Maryland closed the fiscal year September 30 with total assets of 203,520,556 and bonded debt of 44,166,000. Cash receipts in the general fund totaled 21,516,012 with revenues and surplus at 21,956,879, while expenditures and surplus decreases reached 20,272,649. One Person Hurt In Auto Accident Near Benevola Route 49
One person was injured slightly yesterday afternoon in a collision of two automobiles on Route 49 about a half mile west of Benevola. Harvey Evans, a passenger in the car driven by Ted M. Smith of Syracuse, was treated for minor cuts and bruises. John Guilfoy of Philadelphia, the other car’s operator, escaped injury. Both cars were badly damaged.
