Deer Killing Pace Eases In Wash County
In Washington County the deer hunting pace slowed as the six flag season advanced. Trooper Diehl halted Harold J. Morris 17 from the eastern county after a high speed chase near Hagerstown. Morris faced a six month sentence on a motor vehicle violation and the car was reported stolen from Frederick Wilson of 4600 O'Donnell St. Baltimore. A total of 229 bucks had been checked at county stations in the first day and a half. The hunt’s largest deer, a 170 pound 10 point, was taken by William A Grove of Pikesville Md at Hoffman’s Inn on Sideling Hill Mountain.

Two Held For Jury In Choke Robbery Here
Chambersburg men Hodges Nathan and James J. Nathan were bound for the Washington County Grand Jury on charges of assault and robbery of Trinidad Donata a Puerto Rican apple picker, after he was lured into Blooms Alley Saturday night. Donata suffered a partially fractured larynx and had $70 taken from his wallet. Bond was set at $1000 for Hodges and $500 for James Nathan. Donata was in the area with a white Chambersburg woman when the men ensnared him in a drinking establishment.
