Hearing on deaths of two local men today
A Baltimore man Charles L. Henson faces manslaughter charges as hearings proceed into the fatal Sunday night crash near Ellicott City that killed David B. Sollenberger and Johan Hook. The inquest may be delayed by jurisdiction questions between Howard and Frederick counties. Hook died en route to Frederick hospital while Sollenberger was killed instantly. Also reported, J A Davis of Hagerstown had his Ford stolen on Summit Avenue, and Frank McCoy appealed his six month sentence in the House of Correction.

In Georgetown Delaware Aug 30 residents laid sandbags across the Indian River Canal near Rehoboth to remove a bar at the river mouth.
