Nearly ten thousand attended the Hagerstown Municipal Band finale at City Park. Henry Holzapfel Jr expressed community thanks to the Band and leader Peter Buys who received roses. Company F Maryland National Guard joined, staging scenes from Custers Last Fight. The program featured Custer's Last Fight with mock battle and burial, adding Army band support and solos.

Sisters Die In Collision Near Ridgeville
Frederick Ange 31 P Anna Mars Spencer 18 and Louise Spencer 11, daughters of Charles P L Spencer of Mount Airy, were killed when their car crashed into a parked vehicle on the Frederick road four miles east of Ridgeville. Charles Jr and family were injured, with Mrs. Spencer hospitalized for treatment. The parked car owner, W Kinsey, provided Pennsylvania address.

Stable Fire Destroys Roceener Coal Company Yard
A stable at Roceener Coal Company on West Lee Street burned to the ground yesterday morning, after a blaze found at 7:30. Edward Brown of the Western Maryland railway reported flames on the south side where an incendiary fire had been spotted last Tuesday. Firemen arrived too late to save the building or its contents, with harnesses owned by Charles Recesner destroyed.
