Trovinger Married in England to Joyce Miller

Sergeant Richard Trovinger son of Mr and Mrs Raymond Trev 284 Frederick Street wed Miss Joyce Miller of London England at Angelo Catholic Church on July 21 He entered the Army in 1942 as a member of the Army Pictorial Service of the Air Corps A graduate of Hagerstown Night School class of 40 he was employed at the Strand Theatre before the Army and resides with the bride upon his discharge.

William Sumans Honored On Their 50th Anniversary

A Beaver Creek couple Mr. and Mrs. William Suman were celebrated for their 50th wedding anniversary with a Sunday gathering hosted by their daughter Mrs. A. R. Paulsgrove. The couple, married in Beaver Creek 50 years ago by Rev. W. J. Hoye, have four children and five grandchildren. sixty guests attended as refreshments were served and gifts were given.

Potomac Fish and Game Club Horse Show Saturday Event

The Potomac Fish and Game Club sponsors a charity horse show on Sunday September 2 at the club grounds five miles below Williamsport. The hill offers a fine view of the show with bleachers under construction. Tanbark ring and eight obstacle course including Aiken and water jumps will provide variety. An ox roast will be served and signs will mark routes along the Williamsport Downsville road and nearby towns.

Mercersburg Grad Edward Burton II Is Honored

Edward Burton II of 1703 Virginia Avenue was graduated from Mercersburg Academy, Mercersburg Pa, in today's exercises. Diplomas were given to 18 boys by Headmaster Charles S. Tippetts at a luncheon at North Cottage. The August graduation marks the third wartime accelerated summer class. Burton entered in 1944 and belonged to the Irving Literary Society German Club and the track team.

Missionary Group Held Wiener Roast at Sharps Church of God

The Ladies Missionary Society of the Sharps Tore Church of God held its regular monthly meeting as a Wiener roast at Mrs. Doris Rennar’s home.
