Brownsville Pa Aug 27 A coal miner Peter Callahan 40 identified himself to a justice after hours of wandering and said he drove the car that carried Mrs. Joseph Kolar 41 and her children Joseph 19 Elizabeth 8 Katherine 10 to their deaths in the Monongahela River. He swam ashore after the plunge and stayed to explain the crash saying he took a wrong turn on the Fredericktown pier and the car tipped into about 20 feet of water. He was held for questioning but no charges were filed.
