Baltimore, Aug 25 The first payment of unobligated state relief funds to counties will occur October 1, said Samuel E Shannahan relief administrator. Payments follow a legislature set percentage and cover the relief taxes over the 2 750 000 annual old age pension and aid to dependent children total. About 1 000 000 may be available this year but not all in the first allotment. County welfare boards and county commissioners will bear the cost of certifying WPA workers and distributing surplus federal commodities.
