Pittsburgh August 22 A Sacco Vanzetti protest escalated into violence as Private John J Downey of the Pennsylvania state police was killed in Acmetonia while dispersing a crowd of about 2 000. Banker Drowns Near New Windsor Maryland
Peter Eicher Shepherd a banker from Uniontown Pennsylvania aged about fifty five was found drowned in Little Pipe Creek near the Western Maryland Railway tracks in New Windsor Maryland after he left relatives home for a walk during a visit.
