Berkeley Springs and Hagerstown district sales rep Elkins, now manager of sales training, replaces Dorman as division marketing chief in PE's southern district. Fairchild Stratos Corp reported profitable operations in the second quarter and forecasts an overall 1963 profit. For the quarter ended June 30 earnings rose to 714000 on sales of 15502000, cutting six month net loss to 572000 on sales of 28617000. Compared with 1962 six month results, earnings were 1820000 on sales of 35872000. Comptroller William Beckett cited improved operations and a 382000 gain on selling an unimproved Hand as reasons for the quarterly gain.
