Brumbaugh Drowns After Car Plunges in Millrace
Bruce B. Brumbaugh 31 of 103 Fairground Avenue was found drowned beneath his overturned Chevrolet roadster on a mountain road near Waynesboro. The car, badly damaged, lay submerged in a millrace at Hopewell HoH. Brumbaugh, who had been out of work, had borrowed the car from Milton A. Pryor of the Maryland Battery Co. and disappeared late at night while possibly seeking work for a dam project. The body was recovered around 2:50 a m, with officials continuing to probe how the accident occurred.
