Three Youths Here Sentenced
Three teenaged youths were each given suspended six month terms in the Washington County Jail after pleading guilty to assault. The defendants Melvin McCarney 16 John Zepp 13 and Robert Lidie 18 were accused of assaulting Russell Hose in Market House alley. The charge of assault with intent to rob was dropped after a detective found no evidence of robbery. Magistrate Martin Bostetter warned them against gang activity and warned of possible jail if reappearing within two years.
