Homemakers Plan Canning Demos for Rural Needy

Homemaker clubs will host canning demonstrations next month led by Miss Ardath Martin and project demonstrators to boost extra food for rural needy families. Beaver Creek Plans Outing With Boonsboro Church

The Beaver Creek Christian Church annual picnic is set for Saturday August 20 at Funk's Grove south of Boonsboro Junction. Boonsboro church joins in, morning games and contests, afternoon Myersville Band concert, community singing led by CBE Society. Speaker Rev. N. DeMolays to Stage Joint Braddock Heights Dance

The Hagerstown chapter of the Order of DeMolay will host a summer dance at Braddock Heights on Thursday evening August 18, sharing the event with the Frederick chapter. Music will be provided by the Braddock orchestra.

Willing Workers Hold Picnic at Rows Park

The Willing Workers class of Beaver Creek Christian church held a picnic at Rows Park with Mrs. Charles H. Funk and Mrs. Norris Paulsgrove as chap erones. Present were Irene Binning Ruth Beckley Lane Hoffman Helen Hartle Kathleen Lizer Mildred Lumm Edna Binning Alice Kerns Lillis Detreen. Lunch was served at noon and a weiner roast in the evening.

Reunion of Martins Holds Third Annual Gathering

The third annual Martin family reunion was held at City Park with a program by members and games for children. Attendees included Rev W A Ashby, numerous Martins and spouses, and many relatives such as Wm D Byron and James Buzzard families. Sunday School Picnic Planned by Church of God

Plans are underway for the annual Sunday School picnic at the Church of God Samples Manor on Saturday August 20.
