Husband held after threat to kill mate
Eugene Compton of Front Royal Virginia was arrested in Hagerstown after allegedly threatening to shoot his estranged wife Mary Compton. Police found one revolver. a second could not be located. He was arraigned on carrying concealed weapons, held on $1,000 bond for Tuesday’s hearing.

Enterprise to Enter Parade
The Western Enterprise Fire Company will meet this evening to discuss plans for a trip to Washington D C on Labor Day.
