Testimony in Bank Hearing Reveals Details of Merger Case

In Frederick Maryland on August 10 testimony in the People's Banking and Trust Company of Smithburg case resumed. William Gerbig of Baltimore Z M Hewitt of Cumberland and Paul Wellner of Baltimore testified for the plaintiff. Grocer Held On Liquor Charges

J. Frank Grove a grocer at 408 Pope Avenue was arrested by Federal Prohibition agents on manufacture sale and possession of liquor after a large seizure of beer whiskey wine at his store and home. He was arraigned before U S Commissioner D Ange Wolfinger and held on 1000 bond for a later hearing. Agents Tagg Cushna Hall and Lightburn raided on information from Agent Teeg after a long investigation.

Keyser Farm Sells Near Hagerstown for 6325

The 40 acre Keyser farm along the Sharpsburg pike near Hagerstown sold in front of the Court House yesterday for 6325 to R. Palmer. Auctioneer J. C. Snyder reported no other properties sold.
