Miss Edna Crist 47 of 805 Virginia Ave Arlington was fatally struck by a bus while crossing an Arlington street and died later at Arlington Hospital. Bus driver Dale Robison 41 was charged with failure to yield to a pedestrian. Crist had moved from Hagerstown to work at Wilson Blvd Christian Church and had taught in Arlington last January. She earlier worked at W F Prior Co and L Aiglon Apparel and came to Hagerstown from Bridgewater Virginia.

Philip Cross 19 of 1441 N Jonathan St suffered compound fractures of both legs. Driver John F E Hunter 39 of 111 E Baltimore St was charged with reckless driving and driving while under the influence. Cross was dumping garbage into the truck driven by Robert W McDaniel 34 of 10 Blooms Ave. The 1958 car was described as a total loss.
