Wolf Held for Semick Murder After Hearing
Paul Wolf a 22 year old Cavetown youth was arraigned in city court and held without bond after a grand jury indictment charging him with the murder of John Semick a Caretown quarry worker on July 26. Witnesses testified to blood on his shoes plans to kill Semick and thefts including a proposed bank robbery and shooting through a window. Wolf sat unmoved smiling during the hearing as Pryor and other witnesses described the alleged plotting and Semick’s shotgun wounds.

Parking Space Restrictions Considered by City Officials
Chief of Police Thomas H. Barber urged the Mayor and Council to permit parking on only one side of Summit between Baltimore and Antietam streets to reduce accidents. If approved, one side will be parked for a month then the other to wear the street evenly. The Board was told of three recent crashes.
