Auto Driver Fatally Hurt In Martinsburg Crash
Edgar Bryant Butler 24, a Martinsburg resident, was killed when the car he rode in with two Martinsburg women left the Williamsport Martinsburg road near Marlowe and struck a pole. Butler died of a fractured skull. Miss Elizabeth Willard and Miss Margaret Strine were lightly hurt. The incident occurred about 1 15 am on the S hill south of Marlowe as they returned from Hagertown. Butler had recently married Nevelyn Wynham of Martinsburg.

Two Teens Hurt as Taxi Hit Auto Near Unionville
John Bates aged 15 of this city suffered a fractured arm and Elsie Martin 16 of Hagerstown received facial and scalp lacerations when their taxicab collided with another auto near Unionville Maryland Saturday night. They were taken to Frederick City Hospital and discharged. Cab driver A Roland of Hagerstown was ordered to appear before magistrate J G Hitselberger at Libertytown Friday on reckless driving charges. Mount Airy resident Glenn F Brachear drove the other car.
