Anniversary celebrations at Smithsburg churches planned
The 96th anniversary of St Pauls and the 90th of Mt Bethel Methodist churches in Smithsburg are set for August 22 to 29 and September 5 to 12 with special programs and visiting clergy led by Rev. George W. Rice. The Bethel schedule features Rev BE T Mowbray and a series of services, lay nights, and guest speakers. The St Pauls program includes Home Coming Night, Community Night, Youth Night, Patriots Night, and a special lecture by Major Harry Webb Farrington with music at all services.
