Promenade of Honor for Boy Scouts in Hagerstown
The first Promenade of Honor for Boy Scouts was held in the Masonic Temple Hagerstown with many in attendance. Elm leaf beetle identified by County Agent Miller
Small yellowish to brownish green beetles about 1/4 inch long have annoyed county residents this spring. County Agent Mark Miller identified them as elm leaf beetle and recommended spraying with six pounds of arsenate of lead per 100 gallons of water, with two pounds of flour as a sticker. First spray should occur about a week after elms show full foliage, with a second application mid-summer for later generations.
