London April 29 report says tension between Bulgaria and Serbia has lessened and normal conditions prevail. In Bulgaria, mandreda and suspected radicals were arrested after the Cathedral bombing but later released.

In Sundury Pa April 29 Thinall Wortman nine died and two children of Mrs Minnie Beable became seriously ill after a meal at their home in Angdor county. Doctors suspect water hemlock poisoning from a poly on which a water source may have been contaminated. An analysis by Dr HL A Surface of Susquehanna University confirms water hemlock as the poison.
April 29. The New York Pittsburgh and Chicago Railroad plans 283 miles of east west track across Pennsylvania. The Pennsylvania and Reading oppose the line as unnecessary and costly, duplicating existing facilities. they argue the route is impractical and unjustified economically, citing past failures to complete similar cross state lines.
A small army will be needed to clear moonshine nests in the mountains of Western Maryland. Prohibition agent J. F. Truax, whose prior investigation was thwarted by stolen evidence, reported after a perilous trek into the hills above Hancock. Truax and aides reached Emanuel W. Welsh’s farm at Bottle Tun, but masked moonshiners fired on their car and escaped while the agents recovered a jug of liquor.
In Columbus on April 29 the State Industrial Department awarded William Moor man a 28 year old from Sidney three thousand seven hundred sixty dollars for total hair loss on his body due to fright from a big four track reconstruction job near Houston in Shelby county on July 23, 1923. The case described as one of the strangest in the files of the commission.
Jusnes RE Saylor and Raymond Forry of Hagerstown were arraigned after a shoreline moonshine incident. Saylor was found guilty of transporting liquor and sentenced to 150 dollars by Judge Gillan. Forry was acquitted. The men had been jailed since March 21 and taken to police headquarters in Chambersburg for charging.
Grantville searches for Earl Woodward abducting 11 year old Tadlie Chatterton. The ex convict fled with provisions for two weeks. Governor Billings receives petitions urging national guard involvement as efforts to locate the missing child continue. The condition of William Bennett, son of Mr and Mrs TI G Bennett of South Potomac Street, was reported slightly improved by hospital authorities. The boy suffered poisoning from a fractured leg sustained in an automobile accident weeks ago and received blood from his mother, father, and two uncles.
Harsh family reports daughter Palth Harsh sustained a broken collarbone after a fall near her Willlaceport home yesterday. Kenneth Pryor, son of Mr. and Mrs. Pryor, also suffered a broken arm in an unspecified incident.
Washington April 29 The Interstate Commerce Commission ordered an investigation into proposed rate increases for newspapers carried by major railroads including the Pennsy, Baltimore and Ohio, Chesapeake and Ohio, and Western Maryland. The planned rise, about WG per cent, would affect papers in the territory served by these lines and extend west of Pittsburgh. A special examiner would handle the inquiry, with potential further increases for shipments to Buffalo, Cleveland, Columbus and beyond.
The Baltimore and Ohio Railroad asked the Interstate Commerce Commission for authority to issue bonds of up to 3.145 million dollars at one and a half percent. Proceeds would fund buying 1,000 coal cars 2,000 box cars two passenger cars and five diners. Total sale cost would be 10.86 million dollars.
