British infantry captured the eastern tip of Long Stop Hill and pressed up the Tebourba front as German resistance collapsed on the northern Tunisian front. American Patton forces pushed Green Hill and Bald Hill while Allied air forces flew over 1,000 sorties in sustained, ferocious fighting along a 140 mile bridgehead toward Tunis.
