Four Die in Highway Collision Near Nesport
Four persons were killed and nine injured when a school bus and a WPA laborers truck collided 12 miles south of Nesport, Arkansas. Victims include Fannie Lu Torian, 16, and Billy Torian, 13 of Weldon, Tom Odom, 35 of Auvergne, and Tobe Robinson, 40 of Milltown. Witnesses report the vehicles met on a bridge and side swiped. the bus body was demolished, splinters striking Odom and Robinson.

Armed Bandits Sought After Maryland Robbery
Frederick, Md. police seek two armed robbers who tied up 24 year old George Albert Castle at a filling station and took $22.85. Castle said the masked men tied him, forced him to lie on the floor, and left him in a back room before escaping.
Back window escape ends with police call
A person climbed from a back window but was forced back inside. Castle notified police after reporting that two robbers were picked up by a car at the corner.
