In Hagerstown a strange, as yet uncategorized bird was captured by George Frost at his last avenue home. The creature, seen in the afternoon and caught at night, resembles a loon but lacks web feet and has a long bill. It is the fourth new avian arrival in a week.
A blood-stained hat and evidence found in Henry G. Sheets's abandoned car sparked a murder mystery. Sheets, 34, an electrical supplier, left with $200 for bills in Oklahoma City. his hat showed bullet holes and blood on the interior while the car and location were traced toward Noble and Cleveland County. A large search followed as investigators considered robbery by a hitchhiker and possible disposal of a body.
Richard K B House of Boonsboro was ordered by Frederick County Circuit Court to show cause by May 2 why he should not be punished for contempt for defying a court alimony order during a divorce suit. Judge Arthur D Willard issued the order after Mrs Mary M House filed a petition alleging nonpayment. The 1933 decree required $25 to counsel and $3 weekly alimony from Sept 15, 1933, with nothing paid to date. prior orders sought show cause but deputies failed to serve him.

Frank Molinari Jr., proprietor of the Stag Club in Cumberland Maryland, pleaded guilty to sale of liquor and was fined 1000 dollars and given two years in the House of Correction. The judge said maximum punishment was warranted due to unlawful sales near the Allegany County courthouse and two churches.

State's Attorney J. Lloyd Harshman remained undecided at noon today about where the murder trial of Claude H. Krout will take place. In Annapolis on April 25 Charles W. Mulligan a local attorney was held in county jail after the grand jury returned eight indictments for forgery embezzlement and false pretenses. Five indictments allege forgery two accuse embezzlement and one cites false pretense. Judge Nicholas H. Green set bail at 35000.
Balboa April 25 The U S fleet finished its sudden transit from the Pacific to the Atlantic in 48 hours. Naval officers aimed for half that time but praised the swift, precise execution of the maneuver.
Rev Gertrude Reinier, the Quaker pastor who paroled John Dillinger last May, declares she does not consider him beyond redemption. The Mooresville town council has even suggested the community may need military protection against Dillinger.
Mercer Wisconsin April 25 1934 John Dillinger hunted by more than five thousand officers across the United States after escaping from a Bohemian resort near Mercer.
