Mrs. Mary Yeager died Friday at 2 AM at her home 50 Pennsylvania avenue after a brief illness. She was 60. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Agnes Bristol, of the city. Funeral arrangements to be announced.

A 17 year old girl Helen Hamby of 6 Berner Avenue became violently ill after ingesting a quantity of nicotine used as shrubbery spray. She was rushed to Washington County Hospital where doctors said her condition was fair. The incident occurred after she arose and may have mistaken the poison for medicine.
News from FOOCHOW China reports bandits captured Bishop Prat the Rev Senor Andres and two Chinese priests on April 22 while they were en route to Fengting 75 miles south to consecrate a new church. Prat is said to be in poor health and may not survive the ordeal.
Los Angeles on April 24, police found the body of Dr Luigi Bari Sabungi a 98 year old antique collector in his hotel room with the akuil crushed. Police suspect robbery aimed at stealing a concealed oil painting. The weapon was not found. Sabungi had served as political adviser to Abdul Hamid during his reign as Sultan of Turkey. He was a world traveler and art collector.

An explosion on a Rutland Railroad baggage and mail car near North Dorset Vermont damaged the car and sacks of mail bound from Troy New York to Rutland. Mail clerk William A Goddard and baggage master Joseph Pilon escaped as the burning car was detached to save the passenger cars.

In San Francisco on April 25 comedian Bernard F. Smith and a partner performed a gag where a blank cartridge exploded on a slap. New York customs agents halted a narcotics shipment valued at 5 000 600 after a three day search of the French liner Ile de France. Police then seized 17 cases of opium heroin and morphine unloaded Wednesday from the Hamburg American liner Milwaukee. Officials say the drugs were diverted to the Milwaukee after a tip. The haul yielded no identified recipient and the ship was proceeding on orders. The De France search barely found any liquor amid 900 crew members.
Baltimore April 25 A firearms expert will examine a pistol allegedly taken by Dale H. Lambert to determine if it fired the shot that killed John W. Anderson a 40 year old milk driver. Lambert named Herman W. Duker as the shooter as police seek him nationwide.
A roadster with six occupants overturned on a grade crossing west of Cumberland leaving five injured one seriously. Driver Harry Youngblood of La Vale and Clyde Lucas were taken to Frostby hospital. Lucas was most seriously hurt but not believed to be in danger. The four other occupants, including Youngblood, were treated and sent home. The car was demolished after losing control at the crossing.
