One Killed Eight Injured In School Bus Crash
Shamrock Texas April 22 Gyron Laycock driver of a Sumner wood rural high school bus was killed and eight students injured five seriously when the bus crashed into the iron railing of an iron bridge fourteen miles northwest of Shamrock. Between 20 and 25 students were aboard and the injured were rushed to a hospital. Extent of injuries not known immediately. Several were cut. All glass in the bus shattered. The driver was trapped and could not be released until the door was removed.

Hampton B. Brill age 65 a street department employee suffered a fractured skull yesterday after noon when he fell from a moving truck at Washington and Antietam streets. Brill was in the truck body and toppled to the street during a turn. He was taken to Washington County Hospital for examination.
