Security Act Is Held Void by U S Circuit Court
Boston April 17 A U S Circuit Court of Appeals ruled unconstitutional both the unemployment insurance and old age provisions of the Social Security Act. The court held the act as a whole attempts national control over a subject within state jurisdiction, reversing a lower court and upholding a stockholder challenge. The decision coincides with ongoing Supreme Court arguments on the act's constitutionality.

Youths Injured In Auto Mishap On Washington Mulberry
James Bowers and Ross Sterling were injured when their bicycle struck a car at Washington and Mulberry streets. They were taken to a physician's office then ordered to Washington County Hospital. Driver Robert Ariz of Wayside Avenue reported the accident to police headquarters.

Two Die In West Virginia Auto Crash At Key's Ferry
State Police said manslaughter charges would be filed against Charles McDaniel of Millville after a late Thursday wreck at Key's Ferry Jefferson county that killed Thomas Ott 62 and Cleveland McDaniel both of Millville. The sedan left the road rolled several times and settled on its wheels on the railroad tracks. Ott died about 20 minutes after the crash. McDaniel suffered a fractured ski and severe lacerations. Charles said he lost control while witnesses noted high speed. Others in the Millville area escaped uninjured.
