Despite rain the city’s churches reported large Easter attendances with morning and evening services. Pageants, music, and choirs highlighted the festival as the Easter story and seven last words from the cross were presented. St Pauls U B Sunday school drew 1103 attendees with 188 in the Men’s Bible Class.

Stolen Car Found Wrecked Near Rest Haven Cemetery
The automobile of Ralph C. Coombs of 108 Randolph Avenue, stolen from the Middle-Wars Pike near Rest Haven Cemetery Saturday night, was found wrecked on the Cavetown-Boona road by the owner yesterday. Another car stolen from Center area parking late Saturday night was wrecked in a collision at Virginia and Gayder Avenues. No injuries reported.

Negro Prisoner Fatally Stabbed in Baltimore Penitentiary
Baltimore reports a black inmate Miles Clifton, 23, died after being stabbed by fellow prisoner James Roy Kellam, 24, following an argument over cigarettes. Clifton had a five year robbery sentence.
