The Washing ton County Boy Scout Council reported two thirds of its drive toward $6,000 for necessary expenses this year. About $4,000 has been realized to date with the largest single day totaling around $1,400. The campaign extends through the weekend and concludes next Monday evening with a 6 o clock report meeting. Two Auto Crashes Injure Several on National Highway
Several persons were slightly injured in two accidents on the national highway near Benevola yesterday afternoon. Ray Connelly of Seattle pleaded guilty to passing another car on a hill and was fined $3 plus costs. A second crash involved a rear collision with several Michigan ladies. the driver fled. In Natal Brazil an experimental flight of the Zephyr used crude oil instead of gasoline, with a 13 hour 50 minute South Atlantic crossing suggesting fuel costs could be halved.
