Rev Carnahan longtime county minister dies at home
Rev Barton R Carnahan former minister of Keedysville Sharpsburg and Mt Moriah died this morning at his daughter's home Margaret Grove in Pleasant Frederick County after a lingering illness aged 0 years. He had served from 1881 to 1907 and twenty one years at Mt Pleasant. Born in Warrentown Pa he was the son of Samuel and Margaret Carnahan and pursued ministry after Mercerburg Academy. He married Alice P House in 1887 and leaves three children Mrs Margaret Grove Mrs Grace Buxton and Houston. Funeral services will be at Sharpsburg on Wednesday afternoon at the Reformed Church.

Greencastle Alumni Disbands After Low Turnout
April 14 report notes Greencastle High School Alumni Association officers resigned after a failed reorganization meeting. The group formed seven years ago with about 150 members but recent turnout dropped to two officers and two members. It is hoped the alumni can be rejuvenated. Funeral of Miss Cohill at St Peters Church
Hundreds attended the last rites for Miss Louise Elizabeth Cohill at St Peters Catholic Church Hancock on Thursday morning. She had long been prominent in Washington County musical circles and civic work. The Rev Thomas D Reinhart gave the eulogy and the requiem mass was said by Rev Dr William E Kelly. St Marys choir of Hagerstown directed the music. Pallbearers included Rinehart J Andrew and Leo A Cohill and other relatives. Attendees came from Hagerstown Martinsburg Pittsburgh Baltimore Frostburg Berkeley Springs and wider areas. Nearly every Treble Clef Club member was present.
