Havana April 11 Cuba has declared a two year moratorium on about 50 million dollars of bonds and loans from American and British lenders. Treasury officials said interest will be paid while principal payments are halted on bonds from 1904 to 1927. The move aims to ease Cuba's finances until government income reaches 60 million dollars annually. An inquiry was ordered into the Chase National Bank debt, with Machado era legitimacy questioned by former Cuban leaders.
